My dear readers!

It’s been a while, and for that, I’m truly sorry โ€“ especially for disappearing into a hiatus without saying a word. The first half of 2017 was completely taken over by my studies and finishing my degree, and the second half… well, that’s a little bit more complicated. Stick with me, if you would, because that is what today’s blog post is all about. I’ll take you through one of my most eventful years yet, and lay out what’s coming up next. However, for those of you who don’t have the time to spare right now, let me pre-emptively say: The blog is back.

An Introduction, or: Why I Want YOU To Listen To Classical Music

Hello, my name is Daria, I’m 25 years old, and I enjoy listening to classical music.

That’s not something you’ll hear often these days, is it? Someone as young as me โ€“ under 30! – admitting that she regularly listens to and actively enjoys classical music. Granted, it’s not that unusual if you consider that I play the cello and study music, but still. Outside of music college, I have very few friends who go to concerts or buy classical music CDs. It’s not that they actively hate it, it’s just something that isn’t part of their lives.
